1.The lights went _____while we were having a party at my uncle’sA. off B. over C. out D. away答案为C,为停电之意,但是A为何不能呢??? C。2.Mary was disappointed when she found out they had gone to the ball ____herA. except B. except for C. without D. besides.

C is right.go out 表示灯自己熄灭了。eg. The lights went out when we were having supper.go off 没有此意。C is right.without含有“没有带上某人”之意。

1.The lights went _____while we were having a party at my uncle’sA. off B. over C. out D. awayA语法没有错误,但C. 2.Mary was disappointed when she found out they had gone to the ball ____herA. except B. except for C. without D. besides.单独:they had gone to the ball except her,但without更能体现Mary对they排除her在外的的失望心情,总之是语意准确。

go out是熄灭的意思。go off有过世的意思。
