关于第一题，你的想法是对的，应该把is改为has. 我们不能完全相信书本上的，因为书本上有些东西也是错误的，可能是由于一时的疏忽吧． 第二题是没有问题的，我们可以这样表达：i have to go to the dentist.这样的句子很通俗易懂，虽然说dentist并不是一个地点名词，但我们这样说出去别人都能懂的．它可以代替牙医诊所了．不过，这不能算是正式用法，一般也只是见于那些随意性的场合，一般的口语中就很常见的．

１）He wants to borrow her book,but Xiaomin is not finished reading it.有错误，应该是He wants to borrow her book,but Xiaomin has not finished reading it.其中finish doing something是finish这个词的固定用法，而has not finish是否定语气的现在完成时态，表示现在小明还没有读完这本书２）I have to go to the dentist．理论上是有问题，应该是I have to see the dentist．I have to go to the dentist's．但是意思能懂，很多时候美国人就很放松了。
