1、(be) fit to do中fit为形容词，意“适合、适宜做…”，如： The water is not fit to drink. 另外，动词fit短语fit…to…①意“给…装配”，fit a new tire to the car给这部车装轮胎 ②使…配合(顺应) He fitted his speech to the occasion. 他让他的演说配合这个场合。 2、apply to sth.适用于，不及物动词短语，to为介词 This game does not apply to children.
