又是你了。不过提的这些问题都挺好，继续坚持了。你说的对，advance是谓语，还有后面的create也是谓语这个句子的主干部分是they can advance....and create......你说的那个as短语是状语成分，因为提到了句子的前边所以用逗号隔开了，这里不能叫做插入语。正常的语序应该是：they can advance their knowledge.....as a result of....
