主要的区别是:stand for 还可做"代替, 象征, 支持, 做...的候选人"用, represent 他的意思"表现, 描绘, 声称,象征, 扮演, 回忆, 再赠送, 再上演"共同点是都可做"代表,象征"讲The bald eagle represents the United States.The bald eagle stands for the United States.秃鹰象征了美国其他的例子我就不举了,从字面意思应当是很好理解的
